I have been working at PNC Financial Services Group

Pros

Great benefits, excellent products and services, opportunities for advancement, good pay, very diverse culture, close no later than 7 PM.

Cons

The only con I've encountered is that PNC is not as wide spread in Maryland, where I live.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

As PNC grows, maintain the culture, the focus on customer service, and the drive to acheive excellence.

Good for a start in banking, but branch level management is inept!

    Pros

Good start for someone in school

    Cons

Management at the branch level was essentially run by incompetent adults or illogical college students.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Emphasis on training branch level management. The tellers are the key not the supervisors!

I worked at PNC Financial Services Group

    Pros

Good pay and benefits for a job that does not require a college degree.
Great company in the banking industry, so good brand recognition

    Cons

    Work Saturdays
Reports and paperwork required for every aspect of the job
CIQ scores- these are ratings that customers give you and are measured and constantly scrutinized on a day to day basis.
Required use of "PNC" language"- have to use their vocabulary and makes you feel like a robot when interacting with the customers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer more freedom to interact with customers on their own.
    More performance based rewards
Offer more options for career advancement.

    No opinion of CEO
