Current Employee - Clinical Research Associate
Current Employee - Clinical Research Associate

    Pros

CRAs enjoy a flexible work schedule and are able to schedule their travel and site visits to meet their specific needs for the most part. The managment suppor for CRAs is good. Functional managers are assigned to each employee to balance the demands of different departments and studies keeping the pressure on prioritizing off the CRA. The company provides a great benefit package especially to the senior people. PRA has a great IT department that is available 24/7 and is extremely helpful.

    Cons

Like many high tech companies PRA has too many systems/processes and has frequent changes in systems that require consistent in-service.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper managment should apply the KISS principle whenever possible. Routine clerical work should be shifted to the lowest level employees, expense report proceeds should be reworked and the services of the travel department should be used to provide central invoicing and expenses for airfare and possibly hotels.
