“Solid investment bank with several strong teams”
I have been working at Royal Bank of Scotland full-time for more than a year
Pros – RBS has a lot of strengths despite its terrible reputation. Some of the business units (notably Spot FX) are market leaders. Many of the strongest individuals have stuck it out since the financial crisis.
Cons – There is much government scrutiny over practices within the bank, probably more so than at other institutions. Bonuses are weak.
