Okay place to work

Applications Engineer (Current Employee)
La Vergne, TN (US)

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time for more than 3 years

Pros+Usually easy
+Flexible work environment
+Internally promoted
+Salary review each year with normal raises (3-5%)

Cons+There is no overtime and the compensation for time over 40hrs is very poor
+Raises are small. Normally 3-5%. You have to be a genius to get a 5% or work very hard. Not worth it
+Recognition in this company is handed out like parents encouraging their children's horrible drawings. People who deserve recognition normally don't get it at all or alone. Other useless people join in the recognition
+HR processes and technologies (Time Entry/Calendar Entry/Email/Etc.) are VERY poor. We use Lotus Notes for email for God's sake. Enough said.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave more clearly defined procedures and processes. The rules change on a monthly basis and there is too much inconsistency.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
