Pros

Great people, great environment overall a good company to work for. Good development of employees. Feedback given both informally and formally in the form of six month reviews. Gives you are chance to know what areas you are doing well in and which areas to improve.

Cons

Understaffed. Calling in sick is basically non existent when you are a barista and especially if you are a shift supervisor. Dealing with difficult customers is a given because you are controlling their caffeine intake for the morning but you can develop some lasting friendships and good connections with both co-workers and customers

    Pros

Starbucks treats their employees well, while not on the higher end of wages out there, they do have good benefits in terms of health and stock options... ect.

    Cons

Minimum wage base, it'll take years to a decade to get a career began, and it's a somewhat stiff system as are most big corporations running hundred's of stores.

    Advice to Management

Give the managers more leeway, I'm not in management, and they put up with a lot.

  2. Decent for students and those who need benefits.

    Pros

medical and coffee benefits. Fun atmosphere great training, can move up to management in about 5 years.

    Cons

unless you're going to stick it out for the long-haul and shoot for management, the job is only good for free coffee and medical.
