Former Employee – worked at Teach for America as an intern for less than a year

Pros – The vibe is definitely hardworking - leaning towards type A - but still cool and collected, so it makes for a trusting environment. It's also work you can feel good about, has a strong feedback system, diverse, very very flexible working conditions at National HQ and supportive management. It's the gold standard for nonprofits, but be prepared to work long and hard.

Cons – You might end up making less than similar positions in corporate America.

Advice to Senior Management – Sometimes the sheer amount of flexibility made some teams feel disconnected from each other.
