Former Employee - Administrative Assistant in Camp Pendleton, CA (US)

I worked at US Marine Corps full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

you will learn respect and honor and receive respect and honor when you are finished. You will receive benefits from the army post serving like they'll pay for some of your college, sometimes they will set you up for a job, health care and all that.

Cons

you could be killed, you could be taken hostage, putting your family through the stress of hoping you'll survive, dealing with post-traumatic stress, seeing your friends die, not being near the ones you love.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk to your family about it, talk to recruiters but ultimately it's your life so you have to be the one to choose. Good luck

I have been working at US Marine Corps full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Everything is a pro, I've had the opportunity to serve my country with a greater purpose. I had the privilege to deploy and defend our great nation 5 times (3 to Iraq, 2 to Afghanistan). I've met some of the greatest people in the world. It has been such an honor to work for the United States Marine Corps.

    Cons

There are no cons, I have to put 20 words in this box and I have zero cons. Join the United States Marine Corps!
