    Pros

    More consistent hours
    Being near your family
Develop a much broader view of Naval and military operations

    Cons

    Long hours
    Lots of Power Point
As a O-3 on a Pentagon staff you will most likely be the low man on the totem pole

I worked at US Navy full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Travel the World, quite literally, and see exotic lands and eat exquisite foods like no other. Learn trades and skills paid for by the Navy to set you for life.

    Cons

Away from home a lot for up to 7 months at a time or more depending on the tour that you are on. But the rewards are worth it. If you've never been away from home it'll be hard at first.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be strict, but understanding.
