I worked at Unilever

Pros

It's a good learning place, 2nd largest consumer products company, with many global brands and teams.

Cons

Bureaucratic, and top heavy. Similar to other large corporations, constant re-organizations and job changes.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

More accountability, and greater transparency with re-organizational processes.

    I worked at Unilever

    Pros

Unilever is a company surrounded with good people. The office seems more like a family than just co-workers. They ensure that people are rewarded for a job well done. Great place to learn about the Consumer Goods Industry, especially if you are just graduating. I highly recommend trying to start your career with this company.

    Cons

There can be times with a lack of management when you are a new employee. If you reach out to others, the employees are usually well trained and have been with the company for many years so they are willing to help you learn.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stronger mentee programs for your entry-level full time employees

I have been working at Unilever

    Pros

Learning Experience... really a good place to start working. Even in the initial jobs you will have huge responsibilities. Lots of training programs are made in the company. You really get to see a very good picture of a consumers product company.
There is an excellent environment where you will find very good people to learn from and work with.

    Cons

The biggest downside is compensation. I think that payment is not really made the way it has to be done. As they have very high rotation of employees, you will probably find yourself stuck between deciding what is best for you, leaving to earn more money or staying to learn more and have an excellent work experience

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start valuing human resources as they should be. People are trained for years there and then they just let them go.
