I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than a year

Pros

Training, career growth, compensation, stock purchase plan

Cons

None I can think of. The company is doing a great job training employees, looking for growth oversees and overall treating the employees very well. I very much enjoy working here.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing a great job! The company has a bright future ahead of it.

May be a good place for your first job - not so much when you have skills and experience

I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The company has a good reputation in the business world so it looks good to have UnitedHealtcare on a resume for future employment opportunities.

    Cons

The internal politics take away from the job at hand. No salary negotiation. Salary is set before taking your skills and experience into consideration.

Do not work at Executive Health Resources as a physician

I worked at UnitedHealth Group part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Health insurance is offered at part time status.

    Cons

Overly demanding culture with ethical issues. The concern of this company is making money at any cost. Senior physician executives treat the lower tiered physicians as if they are medical students and the evaluations reflect a tone of superiority. There are promises of bonuses which never materialized and are based on production. The quota to produce cases compromises the quality. In addition, there is a lot of secretarial work that you have to do as a physician.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shape up. You are physicians first and executives second. Your quest for money has clouded your vision and your judgement. Basd on what I have seen, I would not let you treat me or my family in a clinical situation.
