Current Employee - Assistant Specialist in Berkeley, CA (US)

Pros

Great minds in the California PATH research program, very good environment, a good deal for me to experience research before possibly applying for a PhD position. A lot of freedom to learn in different programming areas.

Cons

The salary of a temporary position (less than one year) assistant specialist step 1 is twice or three times less than the one I could expect in the Silicon Valley.

Former Employee - Campus Ambassador in Berkeley, CA (US)

    Pros

Flexible hours decent part-time pay for students ability to refine marketing communications and public relations skills. Campus ambassadors are heavily recruited from the Greek life community.

    Cons

Unruly homeless people will attempt to derail your tours. Young students will not pay attention. Working in the bell tower is boring.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate more often with lower level employees make them a part of the process.
