I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car as an intern for less than a year
Pros – awesome sales training, looks great on resume, the people you work with are usually very friendly, small business feel with the financial backing of a giant company, even as an intern you have a great deal of autonomy.
Cons – Hours can get long, have to deal with customers who demand too much, pay could be higher but I believe they raised the hourly rate for interns the year after I did mine

I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Lots of room for advancement
Opportunity to make a lot in commission
They hire people with the same personality, so everyone tends to be good friends. (People fresh out of college that like to "go out")
Looks very good on your resume. Once I became a manager, I was always getting job offers.
Cons – Hours
-New hires work on average 46 hours a week
-Assistant Managers Work around 52
-Managers work around 60
If you calculate our your pay vs. hours, you actually make very little
Very Political for promotions
Very Stressful
Customers are always yelling at you and you have to take it with a smile
Very little support from upper management
Always low moral and people openly talking about looking for a new job
The average tenure in about 2 years
Extremely hard to get above Branch Manager level
Advice to Senior Management – Remember what it was like to work at the branch level.
Worry less about numbers and support your employees on a day to day level.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

I have been working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time for more than a year
Pros – If you stick it out for a year or so, you can begin to climb the ladder into management and make decent money with good benefits.
They usually hire talented, friendly people.
Hard to get fired/laid off so long as you (truly) try hard and are ethical
Cons – 10+ hour days
Angry Customers
Awkward/Tough situations
Advice to Senior Management – Long days can burn Management Trainee's out quickly and make them start looking for other jobs before they have a chance to experience middle and upper management at the branch level.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – At the beginning training was great. They teach you how to sell and run a business.
Cons – There is lots of room for growth till you become an assistant manager. After that, you stall out not for lack of quality management, but for lack of the number of spots. Unless you are THE top performing assistant you will be stuck in that role for a minimum of a year.
Advice to Senior Management – Change the hierarchy and the promotion process.

I have been working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – No micro-managing. There are opportunities outside of the local branch to start in.
Cons – However, if you start outside of a local branch upward mobility can be hindered. No recognition for going above and beyond.

I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Ability to move up the company ladder quickly if you are strong in sales and customer service.
Cons – A high percentage of the RVP's and GM's focus of the core values and focus more on profit and growth versus their employees. Now that the company is going global, they lost their privately held family business feel.
Advice to Senior Management – Senior Management must stay more involved with the RVP's and GM's with the wrong values.
