I have been working at Equifax full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great co workers, work life balance is amazing, nice company to work for. Ability to move up if you want to. I have a wonderful manager. Senior management keep employees informed. Vacation time is great!

    Cons

The company will cheat you on your pay increase when you move up in the company. New comers will make more than you. The benefits are not the best but ok.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees they are the ones face to face with clients.

I worked at Equifax full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Dependable and comfortable. Very conservative for obvious reasons as credit bureau, offering reliable financial security to employees.

    Cons

Too risk averse in approaching marketplace in general, lacking creativity. Rigid in pricing models, slow to market, scalability of new solutions. Almost literally the antithesis of entrepreneurial.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look outside the same old organizational confines for product direction, acquisition targets and management recruiting. Promoting from within is rewarding for tenured staff but limits stretching organization to grow in new ways.

I have been working at Equifax full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The people I work with are really, really friendly and it's such a relaxed atmosphere.

    Cons

I HATE how call centers constantly call you, and I see why. It's the structure of the business to call people 4-5 times a day and leave voicemail after voicemail. But, it's business, it works, and that's the only thing I don't like.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For call centers everywhere, there HAS to be a more efficient way to do this.

    Cons

I have been working at Equifax full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Strong company performance, focused on bottom line. Great people in analytics and sales. Unparalleled data assets. Good work/life balance.

    Cons

Senior management's short-sighted focus on stock price drives frequent reorganizations - 5 managers in 3 years. Big company in a heavily regulated business means new product development is a very slow process.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus more on people and technology, less on short-term stock price movements.

    Pros

Friendly co-workers. Good work life balance. Job stability

    Cons

Little room for advancement due to the fact that management doesn't want to train new employees to fill vacancy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Equifax full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I don't have a very long commute and the good cafeteria is good. People are nice but that is it!

    Cons

    Poor training
    Severely low pay
    Lack of career growth
    Health benefits too expensive

Our department lacks proper training methods. The pay is extremely low along with the bonus. There is no visible career ladder to climb.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Salaries need to match the market rate and there needs to be more attention to employees so they feel their desires to maintain long term employment can be met.

I worked at Equifax full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Corporate office workers reap all the benefits. Those who work there have the firsthand opportunity of taking of advantage of the in-house activities and benefits not available to those working in satellite offices. Great starting vacation (PTO) offered, flex time available.

    Cons

Poor management, disconnect between satellite offices and corporate office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Re-evaluate your assistant managers. The initial training given is not enough and should be built on after 6 months, 1 year, etc. The required continuous training is insufficient for those who are overworked with no time to set aside for this. Work with the consultants....
