Former Employee – worked at Ericsson-Worldwide full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Good working environment, Good people
One of the more profitable Vendors but - as per the rest of the industry - is struggling with order bookings
Supportive of Family
Cons – Two-tier system of employees - "the special ones" and everyone else.
Lots of processes (over-engineered?)
Lots of talk about work-life balance but generally non-existent
Politics in some areas, incompetent management elsewhere
APAC restructure has not worked!
Advice to Senior Management – Eliminate two-tier system

Current Employee – been working at Ericsson-Worldwide full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Can do nothing and still be employed.
Supportive work mates
Cons – You must brown nose to everyone, because you get feedback from them and that is your performance, no opportunity to argue it with your Line Manager.
No visibility of what upper Management do.
Too many project managers.
Jobs off-shoring
No accountibility
Advice to Senior Management – Get some balls

Former Employee – worked at Ericsson-Worldwide
Pros – - large company therefore lots of room to move around
- well known company so looks great on CV
- great opportunities to work on cutting edge projects
- work/life balane
- telecommuting options
Cons – - if you expect to get ahead based on merit, you're living in la la land
- Ericsson is a telco company, so there is no understanding of what you do if you work in IT
- too many silos
- too many management layers
- boys club, particularly at management level
Advice to Senior Management – Don't be afraid to say NO to the customer! What customers ask vs what customers expect are two very different things, which can result in Ericsson not making any profit - isn't that the whole point of a company existing - to make money?

Current Employee – been working at Ericsson-Worldwide
Pros – Company very supportive of its employees, with respectable core values. Good products and people, good working environment. Reasonable salary packages.
Cons – Increased competition from the chinese telecommunications vendors is putting pressure on Ericsson's business, impacting local working conditions (flexibility required involving travelling, trend of outsourcing to low-cost countries).
Advice to Senior Management – Find new source of revenues, to compensate from price erosion on infrastructure sales. Need to grow to other industries (Corporate, Utilities, IT, government) and grow services within their traditional telco customers beyond network rollout (managed service, IT and business applications, etc.).
In addition, Ericsson must further invest in innovation, to differentiate from the low-cost competition and find ways to work better and smarter.

Current Employee – been working at Ericsson-Worldwide full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – excellent benefit, well defined process, good environment and culture
Cons – unnecessary stress due to continous layoffs, twice a year to keep the team fresh( refresh). If you are in between project, you are an eligible candidate for getting cut.
Advice to Senior Management – Do away with constant refreshing of employees.
