Current Employee – been working at First Acceptance Corporation full-time

ProsPay is decent, provides a mini medical plan which is better than nothing, PTO is generous, very customer focused which is good. As an agent, I can call underwriting and get an issues fixed right away, which is great. My DM is very accessible and knows a lot about the industry.

ConsFor a sales job, there is too much focus placed on redundant reports (as an agent, I complete 15 reports a week), and a lot of emphasis placed on non-sales generating activity, but the company expects a lot of sales. Training is sub-standard. Company does not care to hear suggestions from the field. I get about a million emails a day and that gets old quick too.

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest in your employees by providing them with ongoing training. Provide a way for field employees to submit suggestions (other than to the DM). Out here in the field, we feel like numbers rather than people. We know we can be replaced, but we don't need to be reminded of this on a daily basis. Investing in products and services is great, but investing in your salespeople is important too. Also, consider changing pay structure and job title for CSR's, they are even more unappreciated than us agents are, which is why there is such high turnover for CSR's.

Former Employee – worked at First Acceptance Corporation full-time for less than a year

ProsNone the pay sucked, benefits are not effective for 90days which they suck and do no even cover birth control. Also, the policy ONLY covers up to 5000 per year in medical services. You are better off getting public aid

ConsUnprofessional Management, Lack of Training, Case Load Was Not Manageable. The pay was below industry standards

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest more time into managers. Make sure managers are properly trained to handle newly hired employees. Company is attempting to transition into a replicable company but First Acceptance has a LONG way to go. Will never be accepted in industry if continues its practices.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

ProsI recently onboarded at the Corporate office, and the employees are united, and moving in the correct direction toward positive change. More employee engagement, giving back to the employees, and getting feedback from current employees.

ConsThe company is trying to shed its previous reputation and become a much better, employee-friendly company

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to the employees, invest in them and their training.

ProsGood pay structure for agents, slight flexability in schedule

ConsWeekends are required, CSR's not always paid enough, high pressure sales, high pressure quotas

Advice to Senior ManagementMore focus on what customers need and less focus on just selling products they don't need. Get your financials in order

Prosadmin support personnel do a good job getting your paycheck to you each and every pay period.
they provide a bathroom for breaks and allow you to breath air.

Consa hundred or more emails daily, that must be read because any one of them may have a new standard operating procedure thrust upon you with deadlines for new reports by end of day.
time wasting reports
want you to call customers 3x a day to get paid like it is a collections company, don't treat customers with respect.
must do guerrilla marketing (plaster parking lots with sticky flyers) 250 a week
can't have a stapler on your desk

Advice to Senior Managementquit treating your best asset (agents that have good relationships with their customers) as if this is kindergarten and must be baby sat
