Current Employee – been working at Fluor full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Big company with strong reputation.
Cons – Way too many poorly educated people in charge, even on the office engineering side. Company still manages under the old-school mentality of my way or the highway. No room for extremely well educated and experienced people to seriously advance into intellectually stimulating positions.
Advice to Senior Management – Company could be much stronger if they retained and used persons with stronger educational levels (MS and PhD level) in senior positions. Many persons there simply are under-qualified for their positions, and it shows at all levels! Education does not equal experience AND experience does not equal education.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
