I have been working at Forever 21 part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Learning basic customer service, cashiering, stock, and visual merchandising. Good first job for younger people just starting out.

    Cons

No set schedule. Some managers talk down to employees, not much room for growth or to move up. Few fulltime positions. Certain rules aren't always enforced and it reflects in the attitudes of the employees. Favoritism happens quite often. Almost feels like a popularity test.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be clear about job responsibilities. Properly train employees on company procedures and tasks specific to job title. Use employee handbook so people are aware of their rights when problems arise in the workplace. Treat people with respect and give responsible timeframes to complete tasks instead of having unrealistic expectations.

I have been working at Forever 21 part-time for less than a year

    Pros

I am a part-time employee, and I get around 18-20 hours a week, which is good for me because I am also a college student. I love that there is always something to be done, so I never get bored. I love most of my co-workers.

    Cons

Low employee discount (10%), starting pay at minimum wage (which is to be expected, so not really that bad).

I worked at Forever 21 part-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get to see new stuff being put out on the floor. The people you meet working there are pretty cool and friendly. I also love the music they play in the store.

    Cons

Long hours. I was scheduled as part time and I worked about 40hr in the summer. It killed my social life because I would be closing pretty much every weekend. The breaks are short 10 mins is not enough to recover from standing all day. The customers can be rude because most of them are teenagers who never worked retail.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more flexible with the schedule. Don't treat employees like mules. Treat your employees better and they will treat the customers better.

I worked at Forever 21 part-time for less than a year

    Pros

It's okay if you like mall retail and used to that kind of work. I was a seasonal turned permanent employee.

    Cons

I barely had any hours so pay was not good. Management was alright. I just dreaded folding clothes and staying late to clean the store. Forever 21 is a not a place that people shift gently through.
