Pros – It is really fun to be able to look at the clothes while you work. It's like shopping for a whole day. Being able to memorize the sales floor in such a big store was tough at first because it is constantly changing, but it was not bad. The other employees were for the most part pleasant to work with, and the cash register was fun. On the first day that the big XXI Forever store had their grand opening, they placed me on the cash register for the first time, which was scary but it felt good that they placed their trust in me.

Cons – Sometimes I would be kept late long after my hours ended. If they know you will work hard, they will take advantage of it. The biggest thing working there was that I was incredibly underappreciated for the blood sweat and tears I put into that job.

Advice to Senior Management – I would advise management to make sure the store managers are treating employees with respect. Barking orders with an air of superiority did not make me feel like I earned what I deserved at that company. However, I do like the variety of employees that are chosen to work there, all with unique and individual styles.

Pros – What I really like about working at Forever 21 was the great customers. They were always into buying stuff and being awesome

Cons – What I didn't like about working at Forever 21 was never growing up. It was like is like living in never never land

learned a ton of skills

Cons – doesn't hire from within the company

Advice to Senior Management – with corporate it's a hierarchical chain run by a lot of men working for a fashion company, however the chain of command within stores is horizontal. The combination of the two clash and a lot of misunderstanding happens.

Pros – Nice co-workers, Lots of hours (sometimes too much)

Cons – Management is terrible and need to hire more workers. Too many customers on busy days and since most people just throw clothes around everywhere, we need more people to clean it up.

Cons – Rude customers, very busy on the weekends which bring the rude customers lol, stressful.

Pros – Getting to know the newest fashion trends first. Being able to wear the newest trends at work.

Cons – The company does not pay very well for the amount of work they expect you to do. Customers are often dissatisfied with the return policy and many times you are yelled at for it. The company also does not have a good discount for their employees.

Pros – Great product at great prices, continued company growth and expansion,

Cons – Inexperienced people in high level positions creates problems when you are more experienced then your boss. Pay and benefits are low compared to other specialty retailers. No work life balance. Employee is not the first priority. Ever changing corp structure some good people get lost in the shuffle.

Advice to Senior Management – If you appreciated and compensated your great employees they would stay.

Easy to get a job as a Sales Associate
Opportunity to work long hours if you need to
Discount on already cheap clothing

Cons – High turnover rate for managers
The store gets extremely messy, on busy days be prepared to be there until 1am cleaning up and putting clothes away (store closed at 9)
You have to clock in and take breaks at specific times or it's "three strikes and you're out"

Advice to Senior Management – Try to reduce the turnover rate for store managers in order to keep things more organized
