Former Employee – worked at Frito-Lay
Pros – The chips and snacks that they sell here are delicious and tasty. Nothing beats Sweet Heat BBQ which I don thtink they make but still quality stuff here.
Cons – A lot of times you just want to eat everything in sight. This can be a problem when you are trying to diet. Still it is ok.

Current Employee – been working at Frito-Lay full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – If you get a good route, the pay can easily grow to 65,000 pa. As long as you get to start very early (4.00am), you can finish as early as you get done with your stores, as early as 11.30am. There are many other benefits like medical, 401K, sick leave, uniforms and a good work environment as long as you meet your targets.
Cons – Apart from the senior RSR's, it's hard to get your annual leave on suitable holidays.

Current Employee – been working at Frito-Lay full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – It has good pay and benefits
Cons – The work life balance is non existent unless you are favored by management. Constantly pressure you to reach work efficiencies that are not possible but generate the most money. Knowingly has a system in place that is inefficient and actually cost them money and expects you to work harder and faster to compensate for it. Upper management has no clue about what goes on in the warehouse but makes decisions based off of what seems good on paper and not what actually works. Management constantly says they are not making money when the reality is they are making money just not as much as they wanted to make. Work in the warehouse is physically demanding.
Advice to Senior Management – Be more engaged with all of your employees and not just a select few who kiss up to you and be more realistic about your expectations.

Current Employee – been working at Frito-Lay full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Good Pay compared to others in the same industry. Benefits start from beginning for full time employment. Happy will chances to grow with company.
Cons – Long hours and hard work. Job requires full time attention to details. Will succeed with proven results. Weaker employees will not last.
Advice to Senior Management – Check with employees about improving training. Very demanding, needs to be open minded with route sales changes.

Current Employee – been working at Frito-Lay full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – benefits, take pride in your work- make money
Cons – DSL position is a joke. "district sales leader" . Unfortunately this position has turned into "IS" information secretary. "District"-ok, Sales and Leader- Hah. sales leadership is "We need more sales". Ok , why doesn't
my store directors know who YOU are, Mr or Mrs. Sales Leader?
Advice to Senior Management – Wake up! This is a great company, I wouldn't give you 18 Years of my time if I didn't believe this. We can't keep newbies here 6 months with this kind of "leadership"

Current Employee – been working at Frito-Lay full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – - decent pay (no pay raises though). pay is commisioning based and thus is based on your route's sales.
- good benefits
- great pay for summer students
Cons – - long days - 10-12hr days of constant work are quite normal
- super early mornings, must work weekends/holidays
- time off for personal problems is difficult to arrange
- hard work takes its toll on the body, hard to balance work/life
- managers are recruited mostly straight out of university therefore they're inexperienced and often times unable to give us support we need. Store managers do not take them seriously which negatively affects our performance/sales
- almost impossible to get promoted to manager (DSL) if you are a man since the company now hires almost exclusively female managers straight from university
- no other options for advancement in the company as the next step is DSL
- expectations are too high and tasks are not acceptable to our stores (management doesn't help at all)
- difficult to start working here as you need several years of seniority to get your own route. In the meantime you cover for people who go on holidays or do support work (as a result pay can be low, work days erratic)
Advice to Senior Management – - stop giving us more work to do for the same pay
- get on a truck with us at least once a month to see first hand what we have to go through since you don't listen to us when we tell you in meetings
- stop working us to the brink whilst talking about how to improve workplace happiness
- go back to hiring managers by promoting successful sales representatives; do not hire 22yr olds straight out of the university classroom
