I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

My manager and team were great to work with. The job offered a great deal of flexibility and I liked working for a company who cares so much about sustainability and the environment.
The job I had offered great work / life balance and my manager was flexible with my hours and work.

    Cons

While they have a lot of good ideals, these are rarely in use on a day to day basis or employees are not encouraged to work towards these ideals. They were meant to be an ITIL company but didn't have any testing strategies or practices.
To compound the issue all Business Analyst and Software Development roles were moved off shore (for any new positions) essentially making team work in my team much more difficult. As our team supported many different timezones a few people worked really crazy hours for not much personal benefit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more time in processes and procedures. When cost cutting, find ways to make sure that you are not breaking up teams that are working and seriously consider the benefits of moving key roles like software engineers offshore as intangible costs will erode any profit margin and will lower the moral of employees.

    Pros

    The pay is pretty good.
You get left alone to do your work for the most part.
They are pretty good at approving leave.

    Cons

endless phone meetings that go nowhere and accomplish nothing.
    constant internal restructures.
    no budget to improve anything.
total lack of processes in regards to doing anything.
no documentation for any internal systems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Drop everything and sort out a document management system. Using a file share is stupid.
You need to get processes in place, document them, and then start following them, and this should be a top priority.

The company is okay but your skills are what matters the most. This company has a lot of talented people. This company will push you through your limits and come up way on top.

    Cons

Salaries are okay compared to its' similar companies. You also need to manage your time well. Your skill sets must also be flexible as possible.

I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I wouldn't recommend this organization to any friends or business partners. The lack in synergy and professionalism is too great. It would be too great of a slip in standards provide any positive feedback.

    Cons

Organization as a whole is poorly integrated. Though the company touts itself to be a global organization, each country independently runs itself, therefore a lacks synergy. Management within is horrible and poorly recruited or promoted. They provide little if any directions and expect others to drive towards a "goal". More words are said than the actions taken.
Work life balance all depends. If you're placed at client's site, you're in for an experience. If you're placed in corporate, then life's plush and grand.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Learn to manage.
