I have been working at Google as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

They paid for almost everything of my trip as an intern and helped me a lot. The trip was ok and they managed all the logistic so it was ok. I had not to think about any details of paying, food, where to sleep or anything

    Cons

It was really not a lot of time only 3 months internships should last longer. I think my internship was different form the rest so I'm not sure its gonna be the same for everyone

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Environment, perks, portfolio, campuses, culture, food, coolness, average employee skills and intelligence, top management, benefits.

    Cons

Salary if you come from other industry, people managers, non-eng performance management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Top management should now lower-middle level people managers suck. They are very bad at people skills.

I have been working at Google as an intern

    Pros

Some of the positions (particularly SMB) are sold as something much cooler than what it really fundamentally is.

I worked at Google as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Google on the inside is pretty much exactly what it looks like from the outside, no surprises, fun internship, lots of opportunity to continue with them once your internship is up.

    Cons

I enjoyed my summer there, although I would recommend if you have a choice work at one of the larger offices, I worked at a smaller office and didn't feel like I got the whole Google experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As an intern I didn't really deal with management.

Google is an incredible place to work, but as a contract recruiter the environment can be tough to handle for many.

I have been working at Google as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Free food, flexible schedule, dogs at work...need I say more?

    Cons

Almost impossible to be converted as a contract recruiter regardless of performance. Set up to fail in many ways.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hiring new full time recruiters when you have a whole group 20+ contract recruiters who have been successful and proven they are capable is a slap in the face. If you wonder why so many people are leaving, this is why.
