    Pros

Is nice to work in GUESS? Factory, you have 40% employee discount for regular price items and the markdowns are really good.

    Cons

Depends on the store (mine is a slow-paced store) you can have from 15hrs/weekkly to maybe 20-25hrs/week (shifts are 5hrs shifts). Just for an extra income.

    Pros

Lots of growth potential. Some of the greatest people working in upper management that always help promote. They stand by there people and pay very well. One of the few Canadian retailers who have zero debt, as a corporation that is awesome. They must be doing something right. Discount is great and product is very fashionable. They stand by what they sell.

    Cons

Since pay is very well bonuses don't happen that often, because sales quotas are through the roof. High pressure during slow seasons. Lots of turn over in staff. They promote work life balance but don't really stand by it. Incentives take months to get to you. Part timers are paid minimum wage and are pushed to sell astronomical numbers.

I have been working at Guess? full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - great employee discounts
    - coworkers were like family
    - internal promotions -- no need to leave and then come back to be promoted like a lot of other companies
    - pocket money
    - decent full-time job

    Cons

It depends on the store, but where I worked hours were non-negotiable at times. There isn't a work-life balance. I wouldn't recommend this job for a student who is only looking to work part-time. People would call in sick every now and then because they wouldn't be able to get time off for an exam they needed to write.

    Pros

Discount is great, and it's a nice environment, flexible scheduling. I'm sure alot of the positive/negative aspects will vary depending on each individuals experience (location of their Guess store, their management team)

    Cons

Slow seasons (IE after Christmas) hours get cut, some managers I have had make the selling too pushy

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better sales training for sales associates to achieve their daily goals/quotas

I have been working at Guess? part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Everyone is super nice, Managers have the "Open Door" so you can talk to them about any concerns, it's a few blocks from the beach so if you need to relax after you get off its a good get away. you can get time off as long as you request ahead of time, salary isn't too bad

    Cons

you have to pay for parking every time you work, required to wear heels at ALL times while on the clock unless closing the store (I've already lost feeling in my toes), you could be closing until 3 in the morning

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
