Current Employee – been working at Honeywell ACS full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Security of a Fortune 100 company.
Can gain lots of experience and training due to the large size and vast resources
Lot's of opportunity to move between the many businesses
Cons – Weak executive and senior leadership
The business is a slave to quarterly stock market performance - causes the uses of very short-sighted tactics versus long-term strategies.
Advice to Senior Management – Work to be inspirational leaders of people instead of self-focused managers of a P&L.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Honeywell ACS full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Highly knowledgeable employees, team oriented across functional areas
Cons – Sourcing stuck in the past with their metrics--haven't caught up with today's trends and needs
Advice to Senior Management – Relook at Department Goals and make sure they are true benefits to the company and not just to individuals. Also that they are realistic and can be met--data supported.

Current Employee – been working at Honeywell ACS full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – -Push employees to learn Honeywell metrics which are helpful for the future
-Good 401k plan (dollar for dollar match)
-Very flexible working environment. Can balance work and life if needed
-Rewarding work and it shows in the product
Cons – -Career growth is very slow. Things must line up perfectly to move anywhere.
-ACS talks about growth, but don't invest in growing. Expect to do more with the same amount of (overworked) people
- New 2012 health policy is awful if you have a family on the plan.
- Pretty much eliminated the continuing education plan
Advice to Senior Management – People that drove the business in the last 10 years are leaving because they are not advancing and getting scooped up by Honeywell's competitors. Secure the young talent that will continue Honeywell's initiatives and they will reward you. Hiring too many people counting the numbers and not enough people to solve the numbers.

Former Employee – worked at Honeywell ACS full-time for more than a year
Pros – There aren't any! It's a good old boy company. Honeywell came in and took over the company and promised changes and only made things worse. Fired good people and brought a lot of "their" people in from up North.
Cons – Promises, Promises! Nothing ever changed!
Advice to Senior Management – Management tried and was forced out the door. Pay was reduced when Honeywell took over. Horrible company!
