Current Employee – been working at Hostess Brands full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – My customers are the only good things. Pretty much left alone unless there is a problem. Pay is OK except it's not what it use to be
Cons – No support. The management don't have any real knowledge of the business. The manage feels that they can run everything from behind the desk
Advice to Senior Management – Some one needs to be in direct contact with store management . The rsp doesn't have the time to stand around.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Hostess Brands full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – It was a good job before they took nearly 1/4th of the salary away Depends on what position you have for how many hours you work. Inside workers are 40/45, route sales are 60+
Cons – Poor management. Use of cardboard that is thrown away after one use; there is money for that, but not to pay your workers. real nice. Terrible hours, wage reductions do not make me wanna work any harder
Advice to Senior Management – Be a manager, do not run routes. Your job is to manage people and sell our brand. Not be vacation relief

Pros – Great brands!!! The company has the right pieces to be a success!!
Cons – The DSM job is over worked, too many items on their plate

Current Employee – been working at Hostess Brands part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Hostess Brands has benefits and are unionized, so you are protected. Also, they have an adequate pension plan for the time being.
Cons – Hostess Brands has filed bankruptcy AGAIN. It is a company with a lot of potential, but it is so poorly managed that it's being driven into the ground. Also, the job stability is no longer existent.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to your workers instead of using them. We're the ones who know what the company needs anyway.

Current Employee – been working at Hostess Brands full-time for more than a year
Pros – None that I can think of. Pays ok, but they are cutting that, benefits were good, but they are cutting those also.
Cons – To many to list,
Long Long thankless hours, split days (nights) off, working weekends, no life/work balance at all.
Lazy, incompetent managers that hide in the office and send emails.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire some management that can actually do the job, sell the company to someone else

Current Employee – been working at Hostess Brands full-time for more than a year
Pros – pay, benefits and expenses. Vacation is good too. I have enjoyed my territory as well.
Cons – unstable- Everyone in mid/senior leadership is there because of time on job and not knowledge, There is a lot of waste that goes in the trash that could be additional GP.
Advice to Senior Management – sell to a capable owner

Current Employee – been working at Hostess Brands
Pros – decent money, Get off work at a decent hour
Cons – upper management doesnt know anything, mismanagement of funds, treat employee's like crap. Keep taking more from the Route guys, we are already some of the lowest paid.

Former Employee – worked at Hostess Brands full-time for more than a year
Pros – There is no best reason to work here. The benefits are sub par, there is no quality of life, you work a split week where you almost never see your family. The best parts are the employees that are trying to do a good job, even though we dont have the resources to give them
Cons – always having to do work for other districts. DSM is almost never an actual manager, he is just a glorified route driver. upper management shuffles you around like a pawn on a chess board
Advice to Senior Management – upper management could not manage their way out of a paperbag.
