I have been working at Hyatt full-time

    Pros

The pay is very competitive, the perks are great!

    Cons

The schedule is directly based on business, so slow periods lead to cut hours and buys periods lead to unwanted OT.

I have been working at Hyatt full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great culture, opportunities to advance, opportunities to move to new fun locations. Managers are very inclusive and treat each other like family.

    Cons

You might have to move somewhere else to get promoted. The company pays lower than most companies in the same field. At times it feel very much like a large corporation with a few hoops to jump through.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work

I worked at Hyatt as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Great training opportunities, opportunities to move up (as they like to hire from within), opportunity to rotate within departments to learn more, established company, good values, focused on the customer.

    Cons

Company culture depends on which property you are working at. Properties and service vary greatly depending on location. Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, for example, is within the "Park" brand, but runs like a lower-end resort (poor organization). Grand Hyatt Shanghai, on the other hand, is in Asia, but is a very large hotel that runs seamlessly.
