    Pros

Opportunities for promotions within the company if willing to relocate. Not too big so you get to know most people including corporate offices to the top. Comp room nights for employees.

    Cons

Hard to grow in your career if you can't pick up and relocate

I worked at Hyatt full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

This property is a GEM!! it is absolutely stunning! Trust me you will be blown away by the incredible marble floors in 90% of the main floor, the 16 station front desk with Pakistani Onyx top and the 3 restaurants and 7 bars to enjoy! Not to mention the pool! The company itself is a real pleasure to work for as well. The benefits there are really well put together. Anywhere from $65-$100 for basic to premium Health, dental and vision. Really great 401K with matching. Salaries are right at about average. I personally was an AFOM and started at $39k and after January given a 2.5% bump to a little over $42k. the real star about this property is its Senior Management! They honestly have some of the best managers i have ever had the pleasure of working with! The GM Tom, Hotel Manager Brian and Rooms Director Jose are as smart as they come! Cannot say enough about how they are truly there for there employees and are apart of the operation. I saw Tom, Brian and Jose about 3 to 4 times a day! Not to mention the other phone calls throughout each day making sire we had what we needed to succeed each day! I would do anything to come back to this company and wish that the event leading up to me being let go was just a dream. I would recommend this company and property to anyone and everyone looking for an amazing career with one of the most incredible hospitality companies in the world!

    Cons

Hyatt acquired this property in October of 2013 and because of the large price tag it had a huge target on it for immediate success. I noticed that the company seemed to dwell too much on previous guests and not enough about incoming and current guests.
Sales and catering also needs a little more communication with some of there clients. if we are sold out the night before and have 1000 check outs and your client is coming in to a penthouse at 9am, i am about 98% certain that your room will NOT be ready. Don't forget that, most likely, someone else's client is in there or someone who paid $1800 a night is there. Be reasonable!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus a bit less on Medallia. Stop comparing the property to Coconut Point (which really is amazing), its a completely different kind of hotel with 1/4 of the rooms.

I worked at Hyatt as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Location is definitely a big plus. The benefits are great for full time employees and the company culture is very giving.

    Cons

Working extra hours is in some properties not rewarded at all. Working overtime is a rather common thing to do, however it should be rewarded. I was lucky to work in one of the properties it is rewarded.

I worked at Hyatt (less than an year)

    Pros

Hyatt is globally powerful industrial leader. Hyatt can give you perfect knowledge and opportunities which could move on to the next level.

    Cons

The working condition may not be up to par for some new interns. It's very hot and stuffy where the employees are. Also, there are many other 5 star level hotel around Grand Hyatt so Hyatt is somewhat in dangerous situation
