    I worked at Insight full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    The company has undergone an transformation as the IT Channel evolves and so far has managed to stay on the wave and not sunk. The geographical spread offers a lot of prospects to relocate and they also like to promote from within which is good for careers prospects.

    Cons

    Some middle managers can make the work life very difficult. The company is trying to become a solutions provider but is stuck in the box shifter mentality and this leads to internal conflict between hitting targets by just smashing out KPI's and actually doing what clients value/need/want and what actually makes profit and long term returns. Also, very process based methods for internal communications and work and can lead to long SLA's and bad internal client satisfaction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Reduce red tape, create smaller more dynamic 'sales' teams to be more agile and customer focused.

    Pros

    Good management team, Achievable targets and Australia/NZ had the ability to work that was autonomous to the ROW. No phone bashing and very strategic and intelligent selling.

    Cons

    Lack of progression opportunity. It was quite hard to earn good commission in the SMB team.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep the culture as it was in 2010/2011. I had great fun working the the Brookvale office in Sydney during my time in Australia.

    Pros

    Central location in Dallas is close to major highways, some work from home flexibility, nice PTO structure, some nice coworkers, community involvement.

    Cons

    Lot of turnover, poor training, systems and back office issues, lack of career path, constantly changing and complicated bonus structure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Too many silos and systems issues. Need career path to retain and award hard working, experienced employees.

    treat sales executives like children, no trust for employees, thinks having a pool table means they have company culture, stingy for a fortune 500 company

    Been working here 7 months and wow what an eye opener. Very siloed, "not my job" attitude from many teams.

    The people I work with are nice.

    Cons

    lots of manual processes, IT can't get the main order entry system supported by the infrastructure it needs...appears to be a lack of expertise around the tool itself (SAP).

    Pick a direction and stick with it for more than a couple months. Clarify who you are to the marketplace.
