Great Place to Work

Senior Software Engineer (Former Employee)
Haifa (Israel)

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time for more than 8 years

Good pay, benefits, opportunity, loyalty...but hardware comes before software.

Graduate Technical Intern (Former Employee)
Hillsboro, OR (US)

I worked at Intel Corporation as an intern for less than a year

ProsIntel pays very well, great benefits, takes care of its people, offers lots of variety and opportunity within the company, etc.

ConsLots of people work too much. There's a lot of pressure, and Intel is so huge that any individual is just a tiny cog in a giant machine. Also, software never really is treated as it should be: hardware is what counts, and software just follows along, often not getting the resources, scheduling, or attention that is necessary to put out quality products.

Intern into PM

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time

ProsHad an amazing manager that cared about mentoring and helping employees become their best. I started off as an intern and quickly was given more and more challenges because my manager saw a lot more in me than I even knew I was capable of. In the end, I was hired on as a temporary employee instead of intern for a PM assignment.

ConsOffice politics can really hinder overall group progress.
Who your manager is can really make or break your experience and development.
