I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Overall there is interesting work and in general teams have pretty good access to resources. Some good training opportunities as well

    Cons

The work life balance is sometimes not that great and the salaries are raises can be quite poor. Many times the manger does not appreciate and there can be many processes to deal with which is somewhat of a pain.

Good colleagues, but too much politics between groups

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The work was often interesting, partly because the designs were technically challenging and the products were going to make a big impact in the market. The design tools were good, though not always the best. The rest of the design staff was of pretty high quality, as were the research groups. Pay was good for those with good reviews, very good for those doing well in senior engineering levels, but only so-so otherwise.

    Cons

Groups in different parts of the world (and different parts of the US) have to collaborate often, and it's hard to keep trust between people who don't know each other. Inter-group politics can be nasty. Sometimes the strategic decisions by top management were mystifying, but that's probably true in all large companies.

I have been working at Intel Corporation as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

You get to work alongside some very smart people.

    Cons

Sometimes it seems that even seemingly simple tasks end up taking a long time to accomplish due to various loopholes and variety of on-site contractors.

treating students not all that good - fix my crc code, and stuff like that...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

if u train your students well they'll become better engineers and u can have better employees afterwards.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Compared to other tech companies locally, the pay is ok. If you focus global projects or accounts, available resources are great. More work than contract hours would indicate, which explains the slightly elevated compensation.

    Cons

Most resources are dedicated to big US and Asian customers and their needs. Fringe customers and localized projects you can forget. Lots of colleagues are long time veterans, and hierarchy can be fairly flat, so climbing the corporate ladder can be difficult.
