I have been working at Jiffy Lube part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Everyone in the company is nice and glad to work for the company. Jiffy Lube provides 10 uniforms shirts and pants. I can show up in my clothes and change into the work uniform for my shift, and then change back in the locker room before I leave. This was really important to me because it saves me the money for washing work clothes, and buying work clothes. In addition I do not have to worry about oil getting in my car or in the house. The training has been excellent so far. I have only done one or two oil changes in my life, but so far the training program has been great.

    Cons

The only thing I feel I should mention is the job gets dirty sometimes, so be aware of that going into this job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide tools and ladders to shorter employees, on some vehicles it can be hard to reach the oil filter.

    Pros

Keeps you busy, good crew to work with. Upper management was mostly fair. Franchise offered great bonus program for store managers (trip to Hawaii!)

    Cons

    Very busy and dirty work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I've heard that some other store managers (I was one) are mean and pushy. That doesn't work, guys.

I have been working at Jiffy Lube part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The training is phenomenal you can learn a lot through their training if you had more time but unfortunately they don't so that's the downside. Pay is good for CSA and Assistant manager not the best but its ok. They have flexible schedules.

    Cons

This company needs to care more about their employees they pay a crap wage to lube techs and treat other employees harsh when they don't meet company goals. They get mad when we offer $24.99 yet we advertise it, you have to go outside whether it's hot or cold P.S. I live in Texas and gets pretty hot and cold. We have to wave and we get paid bad wages to do it. Managers are the worst in my experience and Corporate is just very bad due to the fact they say they care but in all reality they don't.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay employees a fair wage and if you want people to wave or use a sign just hire someone to do it, we don't get paid enough nor is that treating employees fair with this Texas Weather.

I have been working at Jiffy Lube full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You learn about what needs to be done to your car. How to perform services on your car. What to look for in case something in your car goes wrong.

    Cons

The pay is really low. You don't get compensated for your work experience. They don't offer health care benefits. The turnover rate is really high.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees what they deserve and the turnover rate won't be so high.

I have been working at Jiffy Lube full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

DIscounts on services for your own vehicle
Education on how to work on all sorts of different vehicles

    Cons

Hours can be all over the place.
Corporate changes things that make no sense all the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give pay raises to people who deserve them. Don't expect people to stay at this job forever with no $$$ compensation. There are much easier options for jobs out there for equal or better pay.
