Current Employee – been working at Johnson Controls full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Reputation of consistently delivering on customer expectations. Often hear from customers that JCI are great to deal with.
Cons – Australia business is very conservative and traditionally have taken very little risk in emerging markets, pefer instead to follow trends as opposed to being the market leaders they are well positioned to be. Do not leverage extensive global expertise very well. Geographical structure creates challenges to service large national and multinational customers.
Advice to Senior Management – Business revamp to better suit customer changing needs by adding value and providing solutions to their business challenges. Products focus and transactional mentality needs to change to reposition JCI in the marketplace as a service and solutions provider

Current Employee – been working at Johnson Controls as a contractor for more than 3 years
Pros – Provides freedom to work in your area. Allows you to recover from any kind of mistake you do apart from ethical.
Cons – Back end support for site team is very slow. But in recent days after few changes in management everything is moving fine
Advice to Senior Management – 3rd party employees can be given chances to get on rolls based on performance, Instead of hiring new employees give the chances to 3rd party guys whom are working in the company having the dream on getting on roll one. Only because of this reason I've seen talented employees leave the organization

Former Employee – worked at Johnson Controls full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Has the typical big company benefits if that's what you're looking for
Cons – Many, many dissatisfied customers
Bully culture
Oppressive reporting and internal selling required to get anything accomplished
Advice to Senior Management – Stop giving lip service to ethics, integrity and customer satisfaction and actually implement them. Fire draconian, ruthless and bullying management that create an oppressed workforce that can't wait to leave and go work for the competition - and then turns around and out competes JCI.
