    Pros

If you are driven and are supported by your management, you can do very well with this company. Their very large global footprint means you can find employment almost anywhere in the world with this firm.

    Cons

The company can be fragmented at times between its different accounts and divisions. Need more centrally-driven support to locate other JLL people in your region. Can see it as being hard to advance without the right people in your corner. Officer promotions are driven by politics and job function more than talent. Significant focus on Diversity & Inclusion has led some to conclude JLL is "over-correcting" in this manner regarding how much weight this initiative carries during hiring and promotion decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider salary reviews of high value talent before they look elsewhere for salary corrections... tendency is to let people leave because they seek a bump, then spend money on recruiting to bring in somebody at a salary that would have been a satisfactory increase for the person they lost. Why suffer the business disruption to spend more money in the end? Work on the divide between Chicago and the accounts... contracts are negotiated by individuals who won't be around to deliver on their promises. Some clients need a reality check regarding the amount of work that can be expected at the staffing level they are willing to fund.

    Pros

I wished I could say something here. They have great benefits.

    Cons

Personal growth is nearly impossible as they like to backdoor nearly all their staff. Make sure you set reasonable work load expectations and timeframes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Again, nothing to say than it took everything I had not to pursue legal action against this company.

I have been working at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time for less than a year

    Pros

They look to involve staff and collaborate. They empower you to get the job done and they are flexible in providing solutions and value to their clients.

    Cons

Full on-boarding for remote employees is bumpy everywhere. They are working to streamline setting up for applications and systems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep valuing your staff and recognizing them all as contributors. Activate discount for ESPP, it will drive employees engagement into the stock/value of the company.

I have been working at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

JLL is a large company and so has many resources to support your work function. It is generally better run than CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield and most of the other large competition. It also has a large international presence.

    Cons

Benefits are barely competitive and have been reduced in recent years. Unless you work in the Chicago HQ, there's little opportunity to meet leadership or even fellow employees in other job functions. Internal transfers are very challenging - you have to network as if you were looking for an external job. Like most big companies, HR is there to support management, not the employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employees constantly hear about how well the company is doing but none of that success filters down to the regular employees. Our benefits are generally unchanged or reduced each year and annual raises barely keep up with inflation (2-3%). Instead of putting share holders first, dare to make employees the company's top priority (like the most succesful Silicon Valley companies).
