It has been a positive one so far.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Melbourne

ProsSome smart people and good information sharing online tools are decent to work with. The culture is a competitive one.

ConsThere has been a lot of changes in the staffing in the last 2 years, and the culture has changed quite a bit.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe need to have more education programs for partners is essential. More online tools and resources should be made available to partners to empower them with ability to create sales and opportunities. The product feature velocity needs to be improved in areas where there is plenty of catchup needed.

Juniper is good comapny to work for

    Account Manager (Current Employee) Melbourne

ProsGood people, good management, its'a a company that 's big enough to engage the large opportunities and small enough to care about the outcome.

ConsProduct range is still somewhat limited. Market penetration is getting better but needs work. Marketing doens't exist.

Advice to Senior ManagementSpend some money on marketing - for every dollar you put in you'll get back three,... That's how CISCO does it.

Good culture if you can duck the politics

Systems Administrator (Former Employee) Sunnyvale, CA (US)

    ProsExcellent technology
Top-notch engineers - Development, Support, etc
Sometimes Juniper's direction is down-right visionary
Very professional environment (more than most)
    Excellent facilities, culture, and perks

ConsUnfocused: e.g. We acquired companies then dropped them
    Painfully political at times
Volitile, at times even unstable. Your project, product, or job might disappear.

Advice to Senior ManagementEvery one of you is excellent. However, you occassionally have some awkwardness working with each other. Follow-through on your best ideas, even when the market gets unnerving. Acquire companies only if you are certain the talent/products fit with a long-term strategy -- and follow through! Otherwise, whenever possible, develop the solution in-house; again, you have some of the finest talent in the industry.
