Former Employee – worked at Larsen & Toubro full-time for more than a year

Pros – 1. Great Experienced Peers and obviously the best company in construction industry which uses advanced technology available.
2. Rigorous Training of 11 months which improves your interpersonal and other soft skills
3. Freedom to take decision. risk and responsibility. This is the best thing about L&T you will get huge responsibility which improves your managerial skills drastically.
4. Working in L&T-ECC and gaining experience for 1 year is equal to working in other counterparts for 2year to gain same experience.
5. Grant leave when ever needed.
6. If any one interested in Construction Management, This is the best company to work for. As it takes challenging projects and believes in quality.

Cons – 1. Hectic working hours
2. Less basic facilities available (during working hours) for engineers working on field
3. Only Sunday is considered as weekend and gives only 7 holidays per year (excluding Sundays)
4. Administrative staffs are not much supportive to the engineers

Advice to Senior Management – 1. Pls do provide basic facility (place to sit, good water and food) for engineers working on field.
2. No good bonding between top management and local govt body, which many times leads to disruption of work. Pls try to maintain the same

It has got a very good management.
You learn a lot of things.

Cons – I don't see any of the downside.

Pros – Good exposure to new challenges, Supportive Seniors, Expertise in all field, Stability, Proper Job allocation, internal trainings and personality development etc.

Cons – Late working hours, Nontransparent appraisal process, less competitive compensation, not as good for lateral entries as for MTs, ETs.

Advice to Senior Management – Appraisal process must be transparent to keep the employees within the company.

Cons – too much hierarchy. Too many rigid policies .Under utilization of talented engineers.
