Pros – Great people. Great team-work culture. Great fixed-income research franchise, such as Lehman Indices and POINT.
Ex-Lehman employees still gather on 9/15 every year to remember the good times.

Cons – No longer exists. Failed to get bailed out

Pros – Lehman had a challenging, albeit cut throat, dog-eat-dog environment. It had great expense reimbursement, held costs down while allowing you to travel like a king.

Cons – Well, it went down the tubes due to stupid real estate investments and pretty much took the whole US economy with it. So that's how Lehman will be remembered, instead of as the American Economic Engine that is was for 158 years...

Pros – I was in the Operations Analyst program for the full 2 years and it was a great program. We were given books and classes about various financial topics, there were always networking events, and there was a solid structure for moving into a management role after the program was finished.

Cons – Some of the program was disorganized, but that's it.

Pros – It's a job. It pays the bills and to be honest remuneration is not that bad given the market conditions. In addition, if you like to doss around, this is great for you as there is not much work on

Cons – No progression - you work yourself out of a job. Management is rude, confused and only concerned with maintaining their positions / status quo. No real work to do

Advice to Senior Management – End this charade as soon as possible
