Advancing the sector, albeit with limited renumeration packages

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Live Nation full-time for more than a year

ProsExciting environment
Room to grow
Passionate people genuinely seeking to improve the experience for both the fans and the industry as a whole

ConsExtremely poor renumeration packages. While this is par for the course though the industry, Live Nation are allowing a lot of talent to slip through their fingers as employers leave to earn higher amounts (at least 50% in most cases) in other sectors. LN might want to consider being the exception to the rule.

Good place if you find the right department.

Software Developer (Former Employee)
Hollywood, CA (US)

I worked at Live Nation for more than a year

ProsIn technology they are moving away from perl and going toward Java with newer technologies, so there were lots of opportunities opening up. Most of the non-management people were great to work with.

ConsCan sometimes be very political - depends on your deparment. Some of the management that have been there long term were sort of inflexible and tougher to deal with.

Sponsorship Sales & Event Management Intern

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Indianapolis, IN (US)

I worked at Live Nation full-time for less than a year

ProsFriendly office environment, everybody knew each other really well, bosses give you a lot of responsibility and you're able to work closely with clients and gain a ton of experience

ConsInsane hours. I was an unpaid intern and was working anywhere from 60-90 hours a week. I was told I would be working 9 hour days which was not the case.

Advice to Senior ManagementRespect your interns a little bit more. The positions require a lot of time and responsibility, and you can't expect them to be perfect with their jobs, they're still in college!

Fantastic People, Fantastic Part Time Work - Kept me Growing

Production Assistant/Runner (Former Employee)
Washington, DC (US)

I worked at Live Nation part-time for more than 5 years

ProsSomething new every day, love to meet the crews from the tours that come in, FANTASTIC in-house production team, lots to learn but everyone loves to help

ConsWork days can last up to 17-20 hours, and you need to mentally prepare for that. The pay is higher than minimum, but it's still very little at the end of the day.
