    Pros

    Very nice and stable environment

    Cons

The management is terrible to say the very least. Myself and others have had multiple problems with management at the store. I really love working here but every time an issue is brought to the attention of the ASM's nothing ever seems to get done regarding the issue.

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits, Lots to learn, Room to grow/advance, good workout, good full-time pay w/ no degree, fast paced, challenging, great retirement, awesome stock program, vacation, floating holidays, sick time, keeps you busy, decent raises, can transfer to any store anywhere, company has appreciation events and safety cookouts often.

    Cons

unfair bonus structure, when hours get cut the full timer suffer greatly, corporate implemented changes rarely work and at store level your powerless, we give customers whatever they want, policies cost us alot of sales. some install pricing is absolutely ridiculous,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Department specific bonuses! everyone in the store should not be able to get screwed out of their bonus if a cashier had a bad day. The ssei program is very unfair and causes a lot of salespeople to be disgruntled, Our return policy needs to be much more strict. Stop cutting hours so dramatically in the fall. less staff equal missed sales opportunity....Corporate....just because it looks good on paper doesn't mean it will work. We need more competitive install labor pricing because we simply cannot come close to independent contractors and retailers. More up to date products. HR issues should be taken more seriously . and get a better store soundtrack....cause its very bad.

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Out of the three stores I've worked in, each of them had their own unique characteristics.
My current store is very customer, & employee oriented.
The upper management do what they can to insure you make it to the level you desire, and really make you feel like family.

    Cons

Communication between departments aren't as solid as they could be, but I've noticed this in most stores.
solution. Provide cross training to all employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cross train all employees. Let them work a random department once a month or so.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

try to view associates in a light that helps you choose who would be best to advance in the company.

    Pros

Lot's of opportunity for moving up. Benefits are good throughout Part-Time and Full-time.

    Cons

Training could be better. If you're good at one spot, such as the front end/customer service it's hard to get on the sales floor.
