Current Employee – been working at McKesson full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Co-workers up to, but not including, middle management are some of the most hard working professional people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Flexible hours, work from home and the benefits are the most positive aspect of the company.
Cons – No clear path for advancement. Salary increases below industry average. Far too many non-productive middle managers. Corporation is really a patchwork of different companies so even the simplest task takes a lot of time and effort.
Advice to Senior Management – Simplify and standardize
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at McKesson full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Benefits are some of the best with 28 days of PTO.
Cons – politics, brown nosing, seeing people who clearly are not qualified promoted to positions that drive business.
Advice to Senior Management – Start promoting within, some of us completed the lead the way certification and was told from new management who has no idea what this was that career move within in rarely offered. Also, how about allowing employees to review their bosses, we are so concerned the number of managers that has no clue how to manage.

Current Employee – been working at McKesson full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – People there love to help you.
Company very employee concentric
Good, not great salaries.
Communication is good between divisions.
Cons – Technical decisions are driven by a few, non-technical individuals
While each division is a small-median sized company, there exists an overall "Big Company" mentality that includes non-agility to promotions, solutions, etc.
Advice to Senior Management – Please embrace better hiring and training standards.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at McKesson full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Flexible employer with work times and working from home. They 'want' the employees have a balanced work/home life.
Cons – People are not compensated correctly for position and work. Recently they are expecting their resources to cover all shifts and weekends. They have let go of all contractors so staff is extremely low due to not replacing FTE's that have left over the last 3 years. Sunset of Horizon products stopped customers in their tracks and started an exodus of FTE's.
Advice to Senior Management – Put money into the products and the resources for the the products. If that was done 5-10 years ago, the Horizon products would not be in such a mess and forced to sunset.

Former Employee – worked at McKesson full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – McKesson is a great company to work for. They are interested in continuing education and giving employees every opportunity to "sharpen the saw". McKesson has a fair compensation package and employees are recognized and promoted commensurate with achievements.
Cons – There is a tendency to promote male over female although this is very much an under current and would be denied by upper management. However, discrimination against sex is present.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
