    Pros

The company offers Great technology, Great benefits. It has good work culture and they offer free lunches. The campus is great building.

    Cons

During the later time there is no clear vision or path. Product team could be improved. There were continuous changes and constant rush to get things done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to have a clear vision. Instead of changing things half way.

    Cons

Working under the guillotine. At all times. The threat of being tapped on the shoulder and sent home for good was always there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Well...not much now.

I worked at MySpace as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Other than the free food they would sometimes provide, I don't have too many good things to say about MySpace. I was actually here from 07-08, so I'm sure the company has changed since they were sold off by News Corp a few years ago, but even then I could see the demise of this company coming from a mile away. Bad management, no professional development, no willingness to field concerns from employees. It was a real mess back then.

    Cons

Like a lot of people in Customer Care, I was hired through a temp agency, and not many people were hired for full-time work. Obviously, there were really no benefits, so it felt like the company was just stringing people along, milking everyone for what each person was worth. It made for a depressing experience, and as a result, I don't really have any respect for this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They had some people working in management who turned away applicants because perhaps they felt that the people they were interviewing had better qualifications than they did. This does not make for a positive work culture and it turns smart, talented people away from the company. Again, considering its flaws in management, basically promoting people who were there the longest instead of doing that based on merit and performance, I am not surprised how the company turned out in the end.

I worked at MySpace full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

-Fun to say "I worked at myspace".
    -bagel Mondays

I found that the best part of working at myspace was when I reviewed forum posts.

    Cons

There are some pictures that should never be uploaded (or taken). I've seen things that I can't forget and that upsets me.

Blatant favoritism made this place a drag as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

There were some great people and a fun environment to get to work in. Everyone seemed excited about the product and making sure their contributions worked well

    Cons

The Support management killed morale. They routinely ignored complaints that employees made regarding other members of management.

I worked at MySpace full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They treat their employees well, decent salary, great benefits and a lot of room for growth within the company. The offices were nice, and clean and had good maintenance. Good IT department, and up to date equipment.

    Cons

It's a platform/company that is constantly playing catch-up, and after multiple attempts to reinvent themselves, the outlook for the site to regain a positive reputation in the industry is highly unlikely.
