  9.

NBC Peacock Productions: Corporate environment, but good benefits and reasonable hours

Current Employee - TV Producer  in  New York, NY (US)
Current Employee - TV Producer in New York, NY (US)

    Pros

Working at Rockefeller Center has many amenities and conveniences. The hiring managers, and Executive Producers, are experienced, mature, and OLDER than 40 for the most part. It seems like a place where a mature and experienced person can thrive, as opposed to many of the other production shops in town that seem to want to hire just out of college, inexperienced people at lower pay scales.

    Cons

The position is freelance, and only gets renewed for 12-13 weeks at a time. However there are some people who have remained there for over 2-3 years at this project by project basis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the people that you like best by offering them staff positions.
Get better at selling projects to create more work. There is a lot of talent here, and Peacock Productions should be producing more projects.

Former Employee - Cable Network, Sales Marketing/Promotions in Los Angeles, CA (US)

    Pros

There was a lot of forward thinking and creativity. Flexibility on work life balance.

    Cons

Congestion in the lane to grow in your role as it relates to the cable network side of things.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

Interesting and easy-going environment. Friendly co-workers. Rapidly changing.

    Cons

Feels too monolithic and corporate for a media company at times. Few chances of progression in my department (IT).
