    Pros

conditions are quite good if you are based in the head office however when in the field it is a totally different story.. Office staff are treated to massages at work, flu shots regular parties and activities on level 4..

    Cons

The company has made a lot of people redundant over past three years leaving those still there very nervous about future careers .. especially those in route/impulse confec market where the stores once serviced by thirty or more people are no serviced by 9 or ten. in nsw. most states now have half if not less the amount of people with the same expecations..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

suggest you simply talk to the staff let them know the long term agenda and dont let them burn out.. or perhaps thats the idea .. let em get disgruntled then you dont have to pay them out..

    Pros

    You can learn while experimenting.
Great to have it on your CV

    Cons

Everything needs to be approved by the leadership team in Switzerland
Everybody playing politics and holding cards strongly to chests

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The biggest challenge you have is to match what everybody thinks and expect out of a company like Nestle to the actual culture you have wtihin it.

Highly dissapointing how office politics and toxic groups can destroy people´s carrear and conficence on it´s talent. It´s not a culture that embraces teams or individual´s strengths. People is just arrogant.

    Pros

Great profitable products across alot of categories. Good family worlk life balance No weekends or shift work with the rewards for good work ethic

    Cons

Company is extremely grocery focussed and almost entirely Top heavy with more nutritionists and marketing people employed than sales people. Company does not understand the small business neeeds of Australia in its route market

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There are many reviews completed through the year at many levels, my suggestion would be to involve lower management and utilise those findings

    Pros

Learned a lot, and had wonderful co-workers. As an intern, the salary was great.

    Cons

I fundamentally disagreed with many of the nutritional guidelines they had in their infant formulas. As a leading health-food brand, I expected them to be more diligent about providing safe, healthy foods to infants.

    Pros

    So far everything was ok.
If you have a good leader, you are safe.
    Good benefits. Above the average.
Good salary. A little above the average.

    Cons

Company is sending all IT areas to 3rd party companies in India.
Salary review is below the inflation.
That means people will get fired.
    Not many opportunities lately.
Every 3 years a big change can get you fired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some were promoted to leaders shouldn't be there. Review all and send those to an area without any employees above them.

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Minneapolis, MN (US)

    Pros

People, passion for the customers, benefits.

    Cons

Work life balance could be a bit better. All the processes, rules, etc. and the mutitude of audits gets to be a bit daunting when you cannot more your day to day work forward.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow us time to develop ourselves and employees and we can only spend so much time getting ready for audits, continuous improvement, etc. without it affecting our quality of work on the day to day items.

    Pros

Successful organisation with a truly global perspective.

    Cons

Little real opportunity for development, culture unsupportive and hostile environment where you feel you have to constantly ask questions to understand what is required. Leadership is on the whole poor and internal politics rife. Very flat environment to work in and truly uninspiring.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This could be a great business however the rules around how you are required to work and focus on process rather than genuine improvement made it impossible to meet huge workload requirements and there was no opportunity to be creative in looking for better ways of working. Systems need improving and leadership need to enthuse and inspire not constantly focus on the negatives. I wouldn't recommend the company on the basis of my experience however I would encourage people to do their homework thoroughly to determine if this is the right culture for you as for me it wasn't.
