I have been working at New York Sports Club part-time for more than a year
Pros – Easy work, job requirements are accurate to what you actually do.
Cons – Not very flexible, your shift is your dedicated shift and it is your responsibility. Not much room to change it around.

I have been working at New York Sports Club part-time for more than a year
Pros – It's fun if you're a social person.
Cons – The stress associated with promoting is crazy. In rain, snow they want you bringing bodies into the gym.
Advice to Senior Management – The quota should be based on location not the number of sales people.

I worked at New York Sports Club full-time for less than a year
Pros – Free Gym Membership.
Friendly Co workers
Cons – Extremely unorganized company and management.
Was hired, asked to come in on my 1st day to be sent home bc "my paperwork did not go through yet" and I didn't end up starting til almost a week later after I was pressured to not give a 2 week notice to my previous job.
The program I was hired to run was a complete joke. It was in complete shambles due to the fact that no one had been in charge of it for months prior. I felt like i was thrown into a mess. My first paycheck I received was over 2 weeks late. The morale of other employees as numerous other clubs is pathetic. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Advice to Senior Management – Get organized, Work on employee morale,

I have been working at New York Sports Club full-time for less than a year
Pros – Free Gym Membership Great rates for training
Cons – Micro Managed to the extreme! Promised the world when you first start, If you have a slow month be prepare to look for another job they only pay 6.00 hr for Membership Consultants. This Job would probably be good for someone who is retired Not for someone who needs a solid Income. Job duties are Telemarketing and Prospecting and you will not get compensated for gas
Advice to Senior Management – pay a better base salary to your membership consultants they basically are the people who keep you in business

I worked at New York Sports Club part-time for more than a year
Pros – Free access to the gyms, free shirt as part of the uniform, somewhat flexible houra
Cons – Front line employees who do all the work dont matter. Employee turn over rate is very high because most people are under paid. Hiring standards are low and a bunch of degenerates get hired. Staff consists of a mix of teens and middle aged excon-like characters
Advice to Senior Management – Increase hiring standards, raise wages, and at least try to train the employees

I have been working at New York Sports Club full-time for less than a year
Pros – Good work environment, friendly coworkers and gym members, free gym membership to all New York Sports Clubs.
Cons – Can be a little slow for new personal trainers, in terms of getting clients. Pay isn't so great when working floor hours. The only way to make good money is to train clients.
Advice to Senior Management – Not to have new floor trainers with so many floor hours, and no clients to train.
