Nice people, but no coordination between departments

Current Employee - Senior Manager  in  Sunnyvale, CA (US)
Current Employee - Senior Manager in Sunnyvale, CA (US)

    Pros

It's a small company with lots of different opportunities in different departments, if you want to move around. Most of the people are nice and good at what they do.

    Cons

For a small company, efforts are really uncoordinated between divisions/departments. There's a lack of leadership, very little top-down communication, and complete disconnect between engineering and marketing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out how to actually implement your vision.

It was a very political environment where everyone is there to take credit for things accomplished by himself or others.

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Sunnyvale, CA (US)

    Pros

Laid back work environment and the flexibility to work on what you think is most important. Also, the pay is decent.

    Cons

senior management does not have a clue on how to manage multiple projects at once or to be able to do work to plan for the near future. They only focus on what the immediate goal is and put all energy into that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

have a plan for the future, instead of just a plan for the next 3 months. Keep the plan in mind while working on current project.
