    Pros

Great place to develop leadership and cross functional skills. Package is competitive with lots of training and overseas opportunities

    Cons

Work life balance could be an issue. If you work in sales side, you might rotate to different functions in a short period of time. Can be very very political

    Advice to Management

Tune down political and pay more attention to the work itself

    Pros

At Philip Morris depending on your involvement in the main projects, you may for sure step up positions in your career, besides develop analyticals skills mainly.

    Cons

Regarding the brazilian operation there is clearly some issues to solve about performance evaluation, still persist certain controversial culture weighting more relationship beetwen managers and their employees instead of the results delivered.

I worked at Philip Morris International full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great team with interesting people. The pay was also good compared to other companies. Not a fixed position but employed via Randstand (as a lot of positions are at PMI Neuchatel). Easy access to other teams (procurement, order management and logistics) which makes your job easier. You will be given a lot of responsibilty quite quickly. Easy to add new projects and tasks to your job which makes your role very changing.

    Cons

Employed by Randstad which very common in PMI Neuchatel. This entails lower salaries and perks (no training) compared to fixed employees even if you do the same job and are subject to the same stress. This can go on for months and even years. Very demotivating among employees - creates a barrier...Management very demanding, making mistakes are not looked upon very understandingly. Bad work life balance as management puts a lot of work on you and you most probably need to do overtime - especially for presentations etc before meetings. No real commitment or understanding that people actually have a life outside work. Again this depends very much on your manager...some managers are more understanding. No real collaborations between stakeholders (local marketing / commercial teams, finance etc) where everyone is looking out for themselves and do not see the bigger picture - do not work towards a common goal. This atmosphere can be very tensed between teams and shouting over the phone is common practise during conference calls in PMI.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to the employees and understand how they perceive you as a manager and adapt to your team's needs. Put more energy in motivating employees and less in managing them. Improve the work life balance which is so low that people are considering other options.

    Pros

Good trainings and professional development. Rotation between jobs is as well positive.

    Cons

Poor work life balance. Sooner or later you´ll be just a number...

    Advice to Management

Sometimes dealing with ambiguity is taken to far... it seems more stalling to make a decision.

    Pros

This is a company that really takes care of their top talents where you can be trusted with great responsibilities (which also come with great packages) regardless your age.
The culture of driving for results and sense of urgency is really inspiring. You will receive the real challenges here and you will be stretched to maximize your potentials.
The quality of people here, especially the top talents, is superb. You will witness the true meaning of smart from them.

    Cons

Work-life balance is a big challenge here. The culture is not built to support family-oriented people. You can grow up faster here as long as you deliver results, but at the same time it will be tough to manage your social lives, not even mentioning your time for family and leisure.

Another big challenge is when you work for sales/marketing. Not only the working time, but also the ways to manage the relationships with key people and customers are challenging, and more to negative sides. Easiest conclusion, you have to deliver result at any costs. I emphasize, at any costs - beyond that what you can imagine.
