    Pros

Great culture - supportive Partners and Directors who help staff develop.
Excellent opportunities to "move around" in the firm through rotations, tours, etc. (including international).
    Challenging technical work.
    Exposure to large clients.

    Cons

Large amount of administrative work is handled by staff (i.e., Associates and Sr. Associates).
Need to "do more" than simply one's job well to advance (i.e., participate in "extracurriculars").
Pay can vary dramatically between staff members of same grade with identical education.

I have been working at PwC full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people. Honestly, the people are what makes the company. Intelligent, reactive, and if you find the right niche, good pals. The work is sometimes interesting, and as with all other traveling consultancies, the airline and hotel points are awesome.

    Cons

Work-life balance is preached preached preached but execution is highly flawed - it boils down to whether if the people running the project, and your partner cares. There's a lot of work masochists that wear their long hours in the office (not necessarily productive, but just butt in seats) as a badge of honor. PTO? Approved but oh client emergency, have your phone and laptop on at all times. Taking Training? Go for it, but client always come first., postpone your training Instructing Training? Good for your career, you'll have your normal work ontop of 8 hrs of instructing

Most advisory project work is done for the sake of doing work, very few innovative ideas or actions are executed. Facetime is highly valued, but not really valuable in a lot of circumstances - you're just another warm body to fill a seat and billable hours. The word of whoever one level higher up is god, even if it doesn't make sense - openness is discouraged and speaking up will get your ostracized.

tl;dr Great company but some curmudgeons ruin the experience

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

PwC is a great brandname to the clients, but for a company that has human capital as its main driver for success, the people are NOT focused on enough. Everyone knows it's an unstated veneer lacquered over seething frustration at long hours, intrusion on personal life, and preachy words; all for the goal of brand recognition and a higher bonus (if that even comes).

I worked at PwC full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

This is a good place to gain a lot of experience working on many different aspects of each project. Great benefits and compensation. Since it is a big firm, there are a lot of opportunities to work across lines of service and get involved in different areas.

    Cons

Very hierarchical. The work/life balance is nearly non-existent, as multiple conflicting priorities require long hours, continuing work after leaving the office, and working on weekends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really evaluate the hours that people are working, and the budgeted time requirements for each project.
