Current Employee – been working at PwC
Pros – Challenge and variety of work; ability to really choose and follow your path; diverse career paths; great learning opportunities and great global network
Cons – Can be bureacratic and difficult to interact with (internally). Some of the technology is great but overall technology is a poor cousin, right down to the technology development team who are boring project managers with no understanding of how technology works.
Advice to Senior Management – Understand how technology is going to change our business and get with it. Have a tougher talent and performance management program.

Current Employee – been working at PwC
Pros – You will gain great experience at PwC, they attract a high level of skills, so you will be working with high performers. PwC place great importance on building strong relationships with both clients and within the firm, this is something that they do really well.
Cons – PwC have high expectations of their staff, the clients come first, which can sometimes put pressure on employees to deliver... Work life balance is not the highest priority.
Advice to Senior Management – Staff are your most mportant asset... Remember that they have a life outside of PwC ... Therefore the client can not always come first , we often over promise and the staff have to deliver!

Current Employee – been working at PwC
Pros – - supportive and guided, but must know who to go to and when to ask for support/guidance
- must have clear career goals to guide portfolio and client allocations
- great networking and building of key contacts internally and with the client
- unsurpassed ability to travel and be agile given the global reach of Big4 firm
Cons – - Long hours with bad pay (but made up with faster promotions)
- Difficult clients/bosses/team members - everyone is a smartarse
- Constantly under immense pressure to perform/meet deadlines
- Culture promotes client/firm first, self last - no worklife balance
Advice to Senior Management – - plan, announce and do - don't pay lip service only
- have to exceed market and staff expectations - linking pay to "average" does not cut it for Big4 - should be aiming to exceed the curve and set benchmakrs

Current Employee – been working at PwC
Pros – young talent who are driven and self motivated. deal with large companies, large scale projects and large investment in learning and education programs for staff
Cons – reliance on networking and who knows who, firm is quiet large so it can be difficult to understand its components
Advice to Senior Management – ensure staff feel valued and look to decrease the turnover and link better between advisory and assurance services

Current Employee – been working at PwC
Pros – Good Senior Leadership, competitive remuneration, good work life balance, diverse opportunities in different industries, brand name / image, benefits are some of the pros that I have observed.
Cons – Performance management can be improved - it is currently very fragmented and unclear. PwC need to figure out ways to improve the way they staff resources on projects. Quite often you find people pushed onto project they have no background or skills in.
Advice to Senior Management – Improve resource allocation to projects, improve performance management as this is a key driver for getting people to enjoy working at PwC

Current Employee – been working at PwC
Pros – Getting to work on big name clients is amazing! The knowledge sharing culture is fantastic. Some partners can come across as unapproachable but managers are great.
Cons – Pay is bad for my qualifications. Time pressure in audit can make work life balance difficult.
Advice to Senior Management – Real work life balance! And promised maternity leave in addition to legislative requirements please? More social events. Don't just subsidise gym but other sporting/fitness commitments.
