Current Employee – been working at Revel Systems full-time for less than a year
Pros – CEO and CTO have an amazing vision and created the best product on the market. Great opportunities for personal growth, if you are motivated and take initiative. Seriously, if you work hard you will have the chance to do things here that you will not get to do elsewhere.
Cons – Life at a startup can be tough at times--it requires a lot of hard work--but it's definitely worth it. If you expect to clock out at 5 every day you may be happier outside of the tech space.
Advice to Senior Management – Revelup!

Current Employee – been working at Revel Systems full-time for less than a year
Pros – Passionate individuals taking on the big guys. Great product and tons of growth. Lots of innovation. There is a lot of autonomy and leadership potential for someone who can run with it and wants a challenge. That can be scary for some, but great for the right individuals. Founders are smart and fair.
Cons – Don't join here if you don't have a strong work ethic. There have been some complainers in the past that don't want to put in the effort / roll up the sleeves to get stuff done. Some growing pains, but this is the case with many fast growth companies.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep it up. You've taken on a huge challenge and are conquering it.

Current Employee – been working at Revel Systems
Pros – Working with a ton of smart talented individuals with a lot of passion for their work! Lots of room for career growth. Opportunity to make an impact and implement change from day 1. Dynamic product in an industry Revel created!
Cons – At times you may feel the growing pains, but the company continues to learn how to implement structure as it develops
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to value people and the company will continue to be unstoppable!

Current Employee – been working at Revel Systems full-time
Pros – Great group of co-workers and good snacks.
Cons – CEO has no idea how to run a company. A ton of micro-managing goes on. Management is really bad here. If you like to work 12 hours a day and get paid close to nothing then come here. CEO and CTO does not value anyone that works here. All they care about is sales, and even then, they still don't treat sales well. Not to mention the product is way over priced! All CEO does is come in around 11, takes naps in the storage room, look at Salesforce reports, and stay late to make sure no one leaves before 7. Management is really cheap, they can't even get us real internet. The internet goes out every day because they cram so many people into a tiny office. People are speaking over each other on calls and nothing gets done about it even though everyone has raised their concerns. It's their way or the highway here.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop micro-managing your staff and pay them at least market value! Start caring about your employees and treat them with respect. They are not your slaves.

Current Employee – been working at Revel Systems full-time
Pros – Apple products-macbook, iphone, ipad.
young culture- people are hard working but also fun
company is growing fast- lots of room for advancement and growth
don't listen to the negative reviews. they were written by people who couldn't put in the hours and prove themselves. yes, you do work alot of hours, but thats standard at any start up.
Cons – things can get chaotic at times but more processes are getting put into place which is good.
Advice to Senior Management – continue doing what you do!

Current Employee – been working at Revel Systems full-time for more than a year
Pros – I have been with Revel Systems since practically the beginning and have enjoyed every minute of it. It is hard work and very long hours, but i think that's the kind of thing people should expect in a start up environment. Its a great team here and everyone works really hard towards getting the revel name and vision out there, and the company is growing like crazy. its exciting to be a part of such a dynamic and successful company, and I'm proud to call myself a member of the Revel team.
Cons – because Revel is growing so quickly, it can get a little cramped and hectic here in the office. I mostly look at it as a good thing however because it means we're growing and thriving.
Advice to Senior Management – keep hiring great people, and keep growing! people are the most valuable asset you can get--keep on doing what your doing!

Former Employee – worked at Revel Systems full-time for less than a year
Pros – none, the company does not care about its employees. If you like being micromanaged and taken advantage of, then this is the place for you.
Cons – very long hours, low pay, very poor management structure, horrible work/life balance. Revel's management acts like 8th grade schoolgirls and has no real leadership.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to you employees, dont let your ego's get in the way

Former Employee – worked at Revel Systems as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Fun environment to work in. They have office parties and a fully stocked break room.
CEO gives you enough room to be able to prove yourself.
Everyone gets their own laptop.
No micromanaging
Great location
I had a great time working for Revel Systems during my internship. It was exciting to work for a company that seemed to add major clients every week. Everyone in the office was friendly and inclusive. If I asked for help fellow team members would give me advice. The flexibility within the office allowed me to maneuver to a position that I enjoyed and felt comfortable with, while still being challenged to improve.
Cons – If youre not an independent worker you might find this job challenging.
If you cant take a given objective, like getting in contact with persons of interest, and figure out how to do it this might not be the company for you.
The internet connection seemed to drop for like ten seconds every hour or so. Not really a problem, just a little annoying. I should mention that my desk was the farthest away from the router.
A previous review attacked leadership, I dont think it was valid. Revel is a company that gives goals and expects results. It would be nice to be given an instruction manuel on how to do everything, but this isnt a realistic possibility in a start up.
Advice to Senior Management – Since the entire office works on different aspects to achieve its goals, keep hiring only exceptional workers. Quality over quantity as Revel expands.
– I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Revel Systems full-time
Pros – Smart idea for a market ripe for a change.
Downtown Financial District location.
Cons – CTO knows nothing about the market, audience, or domain for the industry the company is engaged in, yet Insists on controlling everything, while actively ignoring the advice of those hired for their experience and knowledge in these same markets and domains.
CEO has the maturity of a jilted, middle-school tween who neither understands nor comprehends the basics of proven, successful startup techniques and methodologies. Responds like a pouty, vengeful juvenile when confronted by those with proven success in management, staff motivation, marketing, and finance.
Both have grand illusions of creating a work environment akin to Steve Jobs and Apple, yet neither knows the first thing about how to motivate professionals or foster genuine creativity.
Delusions of grandeur overshadow the prospect of what was initially a promising technology.
Advice to Senior Management – Step aside and let the grownups do the real work.
