Pros – suitable for long term work, not very low salary, no talent engineers, you can work here for a long time.

Cons – do not challenging works, can not learn much if you do software development.

Advice to Senior Management – give more salary to employees

Pros – Be exposed to growth ,innovation and be challenged personally. They recruit the best talent from the Enterprise market and you benifit from this peer experience.

Cons – Every subsidary of Samsung is totally Korean run.
No local management have any real power. It's obvious that unless you are born Korean , they don't trust you.
The culture is feudal and repressive.
The talent leaves as quickly as it arrives. The engine runs on burning talent like a locamotive using coal.
For all the front end innovation speak around Enterprise, Samsung has a consumer back end and it lacks experience and understanding of the needs of Enterprise market.

Advice to Senior Management – Hand over the control of subsidaries to non-koreans who have the abillity and treat the employees as equals instead of sub human slaves.

Pros – Great place to gain experience in the CE industry. Samsung is now the leading Brand to work for (especially CTV and Telco) and so much opportunity to further dominate the competition during this downturn in the global economic environment.

Cons – Lack of leadership and lack of putting a line in the sand to say this is what we need to achieve and sticking to it. Decisions are made and decisions are changed daily...even half-daily...

Advice to Senior Management – Be more confident in what you want to achieve, consult with your locally hired staff to get a better insight and set realistic, but challenging goals.

Cons – have to user WIndows and a lot of hassle security programs. conservative top-down system

Pros – Sometimes you have a chance to develop really interesting projects, but it's rare, really rare.

Cons – 90% of your time you will dealing with bad planning, no respect to any kind of IP and patents, and brainless job.

Advice to Senior Management – The planning and timeframes are extremely bad. "Run and catch" strategy is not working anymore.
