    they delayed in reposnding to my emails and then pressured me into haniding in early a piece they made me rewrite twice.

    My colleagues are dedicated and passionate about the mission. The Sr. Management has high, clear, and fair expectations, and they are there to help when you need support.

    Cons

    Working remotely can have its challenges. The toughest thing was trying to figure out all the logistics of the online reimbursement, time card, and data collection processes.

    Growing fast, mostly nice people, great mission as nonprofit

    Cons

    Leadership changed a lot during past years and create much instability; bureaucracy widely exists as a large organization; this organization intends to hire less people for more work so you work can either be overloaded or delayed.

    Senior management team is far away from most of the employees.

    Pros

    'intelligent co-workers who are for the most part friendly

    Cons

    -poor top management decision-making, constant changing of strategy
    -too many unproductive meetings
    -very political, its who you know rather than your job performance
    -low pay which is the norm but some make good salaries here for many years and do not produce while others have -heavy workload which is never questioned
    -some have 'work from home' privileges but others do not making it very unfair
    -questionable account practices and use of 'preferred' vendor's who overcharged but is it overlooked because theyhave an 'in' with someone in top management

    Pros

    Save the Children is one of the pinnacle leaders in the humanitarian industry. The leadership is transparent about decision making. I get respect when I tell people I work for Save the Children. I have traveled to some amazing places in my career here and met some amazing people. I have learned a lot in my time here.

    Cons

    While Save the Children's revenue last year was 640 million only a small portion of that revenue is in the form of unrestricted/ undesignated funds. Consequently the organization is constantly having to make hard choices when it comes to funding operations.. Some people lost their jobs last year because of it.

    Because all international operations were consolidated into a separate organization (Save the Children International) there are less international career opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Increase undesignated funding. Find ways for young professionals to build an international career.
