    Steady work, ok resources, much depends upon your job role as to how good/ bad the company is, much like other places

    Cons

    not very transparent to employees on company methods, HR has trouble with basic HR functions, but getting better due to newly introduced online services. Company is very very slow to react to market changes for products. Like many places - internal processes and certain bottlenecks limit company productivity majorly. In general many good people, good to work with, some processes need to be refined, etc

    Pros

    Well on the good side, specially at current market, here can provide a secure job.
    If you have a job at Schneider you can expect to work there until the last day of your contract without being concern of getting redundant.

    Cons

    The compensation is far less than market normal.
    If you are looking for one of those workplace that put the employee first, then do not come to Schneider. They do not respect their employees in anyway!
    No Training, no internal opportunity, it is all there but not for everyone.

    Pros

    Good Products. Good Installed base of equipment around the world.
    CEO's is acquiring the right companies but need to think through the after the purchase.

    Cons

    We use to be a very agile and aggressive . We have become large and indecisive.

    Get rid of the middle management layer that is adding a cost and not adding any value.

    Great People
    OK, work life balance

    Cons

    Sloth like organisation, large but very unwieldy.
    Centrally managed processes too hard to change,
    Do not encourage innovation
    Poor communication from top management (global level)
    Career prospects are low if you are in a service group, HR, IT, Finance etc, unless you are in a low cost country.

    Consider allowing more decentralised management to promote innovation at a local level.

    Pros

    Strong products, strong market position and a strong brand make selling easier and clients more educated. People are pretty decent generally. Work-life balance, time off and flexible conditions are manager-dependent but usually good.

    Cons

    HR is amazingly useless at routine tasks, IT policies and plans are about 10 years behind current. Innovation is emphasised so little and given such little priority as to be effectively smothered. Communication from employees upwards is not encouraged. Compensation is below average. Being in a position of influence or being considered for senior management frequently appears to require being born French.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Aiming to pay employees a bit below average only ensures that the people who don't leave for better offers are either a bit below-average themselves or are looking to move out of their jobs upwards. Neither is good for employee turnover and replacing skilled employees costs a lot more than paying a good salary.

    There are a lot of ideas and suggestions at employee level that have no effective way to be shared.

    Large international company. Good vision, good products.

    Products that promote sustainability.

    Good premises.

    Cons

    Pay is far worst than industry standard, minimal salary increases (after review 6 months delayed) <5% even after promotion. Trying to hard on Digitisation impacting productivity and efficiency, e.g SPICE.

    Many roles moving offshore to centralised lower cost locations.

    Pay your employees what they are worth or lose your talent.
