    Pros

Provides hands on learning skill i.e. multi tasking and a lot of customer service. Provides options for medical, dental, vision and 401k if you are a full time employee.

    Cons

Big disconnect with corporate and floor level employees.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees more. i.e. payroll and software from the 2000's and up.

    Pros

The discount is lovely, however be very careful they watch you like a hawk.

    Cons

No one is safe, trust literally no one. Corporate is always on the watch for you to do something wrong and they harp on your wrong doings. The schedule gets set yet if someone calls out they practically obligate you to come it. They've messed up my availability more than once when I have told them multiple times it's for SCHOOL. ECP's and rewards are a HUGE deal they will write you up for it and unless you have a lot of tenure they treat you as if you're easily replace able.

    Advice to Management

You buy and ECP when you're spend $300 of your check and tell me if $11 isn't going to break the bank.

    Pros

The company discount was the best thing about the company. Dealing with sports all day was great.

    Cons

No chance for advancement, poor communication with corporate. Very poorly ran company. No advertising which negatively affects sales

    Advice to Management

I would listen to your other associates more and listen to corporate less. Try and listen to customers for what products would sell best in a particular store.

    Pros

work is challenging if you are technical

    Cons

Their IT is pretty crazy. There are some nice people but no one trusts anyone and everyone just work for themselves....leadership never really understands the real problem, They live in a perceptional world and think it is either middle management or people problem

    Advice to Management

Look at the engagement of employees. Take a hard look at processes that makes absolutely no sense and add no value. People do things for the sake of it.

    Pros

can earn plenty of spiff's selling extra cover plan warrentie's and on sales with certain items example sock's, sneakers.and friendly associates

    Cons

under deadline pressure all the time setting planograms, and price changes, especially mark downs first week in every month .and always working under staffed.

    Advice to Management

need more staff to help with this store and might be a good idea for managers to lend a helping hand instead of pointing fingers and saying deal with it.

    Cons

They are big on threatening employees
    Force fed SA promoter
Told to lie to customers in order to rip them off with coverage plans
was forced to work off the clock many times
will not spend payroll sometimes three people running a store at a time
    They focus on the negative

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Excellent compensation relative to market; Incredible retail discount; Professional and competent business leadership

    Cons

Inexperienced and immature leadership in IS; Micromanagement is the practice. Don't expect to do anything creative or innovative while you spend time jumping from crisis to crisis. IS is the tail wagging the dog at this company.

    Advice to Management

Hire your people for their professional experience and then actually rely on them to get the job done.
