Former Employee - Sandwich Artist in Melbourne

    Pros

Good staff benefits and cheap meals as a student on minimum wage, enjoyable colleagues of same age and interests

    Cons

the younger workers tend to be a bit less 'motivated' to work nowadays, which means they often call in sick. Some of the franchisees are just stress heads who are not nice to their employees - no respect.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please screen franchisees for their ability to work with people, especially highschool kids.

Former Employee - Sandwich Artist  in  Canberra
Former Employee - Sandwich Artist in Canberra

    Pros

As a subway sandwich artist: simple tasks, not that many procedures and complicated stuffs, hours are flexible, the pay is reasonable considering the nature of the job

    Cons

Lots of upfront customer dealing, work can get strenuous and physically tiring (standing through all the shift with constant work: cleaning, preparing sandwiches), limited room for promotions or other job opportunity within subway.

    Pros

when i serve customer, i know in my heart that i am serving my customers fresh n hygenic food ..

    Cons

sometime you get hot-cold when due to toaster, bread maker and cool room .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

please try to increase minimum pay scale. it should be atleast $19 at start. Because that is due to all the workers, subway is the biggest running franchise in food section
