Former Employee – worked at Subway part-time for less than a year
Pros – As a subway sandwich artist: simple tasks, not that many procedures and complicated stuffs, hours are flexible, the pay is reasonable considering the nature of the job
Cons – Lots of upfront customer dealing, work can get strenuous and physically tiring (standing through all the shift with constant work: cleaning, preparing sandwiches), limited room for promotions or other job opportunity within subway.

Former Employee – worked at Subway part-time for less than a year
Pros – when i serve customer, i know in my heart that i am serving my customers fresh n hygenic food ..
Cons – sometime you get hot-cold when due to toaster, bread maker and cool room .
Advice to Senior Management – please try to increase minimum pay scale. it should be atleast $19 at start. Because that is due to all the workers, subway is the biggest running franchise in food section

Former Employee – worked at Subway
Pros – - good colleagues and usually good in-store management
- quite a lot of independence and allowance for staff to take leading roles in opening, closing etc
Cons – - treatment from store owners was not great
- employer sometimes ignored aspects like penalty rates, overtime; made it clear that staff were easily replaceable
Advice to Senior Management – If staff were looked after and remunerated better, it would result in less turnover, better performance and a wider pool of prospective new job applicants.

Former Employee – worked at Subway
Pros – Free food after your shift. You were allowed to take one 6 inch home at the end of every shift, but most people (including management) took two. This was one of the things that kept me working there.
Cons – Wage is absolute minimum and working on holidays does not have extra pay.
Advice to Senior Management – Treat the employees with a bit more respect in terms of wages, and they will serve food faster and work more efficiently.

Former Employee – worked at Subway part-time for more than a year
Pros – It was a good high school or between job to have. They were always positive and gave Christmas bonuses. I enjoyed my time there.
Cons – It is necessary that you work nights/ weekends/ holidays, which can be hard when you have a family. Also customers can be awful.
Advice to Senior Management – Provide more room for advancement and pay raise opportunities.
